After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage at Terminal 2 International, proceed directly to the arrival hall. Your chauffeur will be waiting at the Starbucks meeting point in front of the exit gate, holding a name sign. A quick handover with no taxi queues or hassle finding transport at the airport parking area.
The route from the airport to Ubud is affected by traffic in Denpasar. Peak hours are 07.00–09.00 in the morning and 16.00–19.00 in the evening, when congestion can occur. During major ceremonies, some roads may be closed. We monitor traffic in real time to keep your journey smooth and avoid delays.
The drive passes through Sukawati, Celuk, and Mas before heading to Ubud. Along the way, you'll see traditional villages, temples, and daily local Balinese activities still very much alive. This makes the journey from the airport to Ubud feel more authentic and engaging.
When Denpasar is heavily congested, our driver will take the Batubulan bypass via the northern side of Sanur. This route is slightly longer, but usually faster as it avoids major traffic points in the city center while keeping the trip to Ubud from airport comfortable.
If you arrive before 4 PM, an optional stop at Tegalalang Rice Terrace Ubud is available. It adds around 30 minutes to your trip to see Bali's iconic layered rice fields, still maintained today using the traditional subak irrigation system.
Entering the Sayan area of Ubud, the air becomes cooler and fresher. The scenery shifts to lush green landscapes with a calm, signature Ubud atmosphere. At this point, the journey feels complete, and you've truly arrived in a more peaceful side of Bali.
