Overnight Yacht Charter Bali — Multi-Day Premium Sailing Itineraries
An overnight yacht charter in Bali extends the classic Penida–Lembongan day at sea into a two- or three-day private itinerary: sunset at anchor, dawn snorkeling before the day boats arrive, and no hotel check-out clock. Bali Premium Trip builds these journeys two ways — sleep-aboard sailings on cabin-equipped vessels arranged through our charter desk, or the “yacht by day, villa by night” format using our own published day fleet. Both are quoted in writing, in USD, around your dates.
Multi-Day Itineraries: 2D1N and 3D2N
The Bali–Nusa Penida–Nusa Lembongan triangle is made for short multi-day sailing — big scenery, short legs, sheltered anchorages:
| Itinerary | Day-by-day outline | Signature moments |
|---|---|---|
| 2D1N Penida Circle | Day 1: Serangan → Lembongan snorkeling → Manta Point → evening at anchor or villa near Penida. Day 2: dawn Manta Bay → Kelingking viewpoint → return Serangan | Manta rays twice — crowded afternoon skipped, empty dawn gained |
| 3D2N Three-Island | Day 1: Serangan → Lembongan reefs → overnight. Day 2: Penida land tour (Kelingking, Broken Beach, Diamond Beach) → overnight. Day 3: Wall Point snorkeling → return | Full Penida coastline without a single rushed stop |
| Custom eastbound | Bali → Lombok west coast or Gili Islands with overnight stops, schedule built to the season | Crossing the Lombok Strait on your own timetable |
Cabins and Facilities — How We Assign Vessels
Honesty first: our three published Bali day yachts — Angels Yacht (13 m, up to 13 guests), Riki J Yacht (13 m, up to 14 guests) and the Sea Dragon speedboat (12 m, up to 12 guests) — are day vessels, built for speed and deck space rather than sleeping cabins. For overnight programs they serve the daytime legs, and nights are arranged one of two ways:
- Sleep aboard: we place you on a cabin-equipped sailing vessel from our partner network, with cabin count, bathroom configuration and crew detailed in your written quote before you commit.
- Yacht by day, villa by night: our own fleet runs your days at sea, and we book vetted beachfront villas on Lembongan or Penida for the nights — the format most families with young children choose.
Every quote states the exact vessel, capacity and inclusions in writing. No stock-photo surprises at the jetty.
Rates: What Is Published, What Is Quoted
| Component | Rate basis |
|---|---|
| Full-day private charter (day fleet) | USD 990.90–997.65 per boat, published — crew, fuel, snorkeling gear, lunch, tickets, insurance included |
| Overnight sailing vessel | Tailored per-night quote by vessel and season, confirmed in writing |
| Villa nights (villa-combination format) | Quoted with the charter as one USD package |
Multi-day pricing scales from the published day rate — you will always see the arithmetic, never a bundled mystery figure. Compare formats on our Bali yacht charter page or browse the full Bali cruise collection.
The Dawn Advantage
The single biggest reason to stay out overnight is arithmetic, not romance. Day boats from mainland Bali reach Manta Point from mid-morning and stack up through the afternoon. An overnight guest is in the water at first light — often sharing the site with nothing but the mantas — and has finished a second snorkeling session before the first day-trip flotilla arrives. The same logic applies to Kelingking’s viewpoint stairs and Diamond Beach: the golden photographs in your feed were almost all taken before 09:00 by people who slept on the other side of the strait. You also gain the sunset hours after the day fleet departs, when the anchorages fall quiet and the light over the Penida cliffs does its best work.
When to Sail Overnight
April through October is prime: settled seas, calm anchorages and dependable dawn conditions for the second-day manta session. November’s statistics are also kind to the strait. In the December–February wet season we keep itineraries inside the sheltered Penida–Lembongan triangle and hold flexible weather clauses. Page updated August 2026.
Sailing On to Komodo
Many guests treat a Bali overnight as the rehearsal for the main event: a multi-day liveaboard among the islands of Komodo National Park. When you are ready to go further east, our sister brand handles it end-to-end — see private yacht charter Komodo by Komodo Luxury — and your Bali itinerary notes transfer with you, one guest file across both brands.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you sleep on a yacht in Bali?
Yes. Overnight programs run on cabin-equipped sailing vessels arranged through our charter desk, or as a yacht-by-day, villa-by-night combination using our published day fleet. Your written quote specifies the exact vessel and cabin configuration.
How much does an overnight yacht charter in Bali cost?
Pricing builds from our published full-day rate of USD 990.90–997.65 per boat, plus a per-night vessel or villa component quoted in writing for your dates. Every quote itemises the components in USD.
Where does the boat anchor overnight?
Sheltered anchorages in the Penida–Lembongan triangle, chosen by the captain for the night’s forecast — or you sleep ashore in a vetted villa in the villa-combination format.
What is the best duration for a first overnight charter?
2D1N covers the essentials with two manta-ray windows. 3D2N adds the full Penida land circuit without time pressure. First-timers rarely need more than three days in Bali waters before eyeing Komodo.
Is an overnight charter safe for families?
Yes. Legs are short, anchorages sheltered, life jackets carried in all sizes, and the villa-combination format gives young children a solid bed ashore while keeping full days at sea.
What should I pack for a multi-day charter?
Soft bags only, reef-safe sunscreen, a light windproof layer for dawn passages, and any personal medication. Snorkeling equipment, drinking water and meals on charter days are included.
